Behind the Scenes- 1 Light Beauty Shoot

I am currently in Boston with my best friend/muse Tiffany who has been featured in some of my favorite work of all time. Every time we get together we make something awesome happen. Here is a snippet of our photo history:

Around 10:30pm we got up off the couch and went a little photo crazy. I've pulled inspiration from photographers' behind the scenes videos for years now, so I'm excited that I finally took the time to make my own. I was away from my studio, so we had to make a lot happen with very little equipment. The shoot was hilariously fun and I hope you enjoy the results as much as we do.

Equipment:
Canon 430 EXII, Cactus trigger, Canon 5D Mark II, 135mm 2.0L lens, Olive Oil, Flour

Courtney's Senior Portraits

I've only been working full time for about 6 months, but in that time I've learned how to get a lot done in not a lot of time. This came in handy for Courtney's awesomely speedy senior portrait session.

Courtney was as sweet as could be and so creative on camera. Normally it would take about 5-6 hours to incorporate this many different looks into a shoot, but Courtney was scheduled to work, requiring us to fly through the shoot in 3 hours. It might sound like a long time, but to finish 10 completely different looks incorporating a wide variety of styles, lighting and locations we had to seriously book it.

Courtney is best friends with Ragan and Carley and loved their senior portraits. We wanted to capture similar styles in her shoot but create photos that were brand new and purely Courtney. Her gorgeous guitar Stella made an excellent addition to her music portraits.
