It's always an honor to meet new people through referrals from past clients. The Plum family found out about my work through mutual friends in the musical theatre world and we ended up having a blast working together. We started with a more traditional setup in the studio and incorporated an image of Africa in honor of their commitment to their volunteer work overseas. Before moving the photoshoot outdoors, we took advantage of the light coming in the window for a mirrored portrait of the sisters.
Our photoshoot was on a Sunday afternoon, so downtown was unusually calm and quiet. Even though it was the middle of winter, there was still plenty of lush greenery to work with. We took our time exploring, hanging out and capturing portraits ranging from timeless and classic to hilariously goofy.

With your camera, Claire, you stop magic moments from running away. Stunning composition. The smiles, the light and shadows, the green, the embraces and the energy set everything straight. I love the way this beautiful family chose to create memories.
